Y’all, I didn’t realize how much I missed my family until they left on Monday. I feel like the week flew by way too fast. It was so nice to see them again after almost 10 months. I have no idea how my parents were able to go years without seeing their parents. If you’re new here, my family is from Poland so they are all overseas. The only family I have in the U.S. is my parents and brother. Now I have an extended family because of my fiance, but it’s not the same. I lost both grandparents this year, and it was incredibly hard to not be able to say goodbye to them.
My mom and I picked the absolute worst day to take photos. It was so incredibly windy, and we live right by the water so of course, we get even more wind haha. For today’s post we wanted to do a who wore it better post. I absolutely love this dress! When I was in college, I was obsessed with anything cherries because it was the time when Betsey Johnson came out with a ton of cherry themed items. Anyway, really short post today because I’m still trying to catch up on things and I’m not really in the writing mood unfortunately. Make sure to join us for our weekly linkup below!

Monica, you look so much like your mom! That last photo especially, you look like twins with different colored hair! So beautiful. I love the cherry dress and you have both worn it spectacularly! I am so glad that you had a week to spend together! I have been super uninspired for writing as well. I need to get back to it.

Your mom totally looks like your sister in these pictures. What a fun dress to wear and yes wind is no fun while taking pictures. I sometimes go all around the house to find a spot without wind.

The dress looks fantastic on both of you, can’t really choose a favorite!
It’s not easy living so far from family. I totally get how hard it is living far from your parents! I moved to the States in the late 90’s to be with my husband, and all my family is in Germany. We have our own family now but wish my kids could have spent more time with my side of the family around as well. I’m so thankful for the internet which surely makes it easier to stay in touch and I talk to my family back home a few times each week.

Ah those dresses are so cute and flattering on you both! I tend to go for tights but that is because it’s winter weather here in the PacNW and I need my legs to be warm! 😉
