Today’s outfit is super casual. I wore this to film my one video that went live on Tuesday (I’ll leave it linked below) and sure enough, when I went to edit the video, the audio was completely wonky. With that being said, I had to completely refilm, but I liked how my hair looked the day I originally filmed that I kept it in the thumbnail. In case you didn’t know, I do have a Youtube channel where I chat about the MLM industry (I’m anti MLM), along with some true crime and commentary. I usually try to find true crime cases that link back to MLM reps, and I have an entire playlist dedicated to that topic which is on my channel. I didn’t realize how many there actually were until people started telling me about them more. The other week I hit 5k subscribers and I was so excited. I know it’s not a large number of subscribers to some of those larger channels out there with millions of subs, but I was pretty excited to hit that milestone. Next up is 10k! I hope to possibly hit that by the end of this year, but I don’t think it’ll happen until 2021. I was thinking of creating a second channel once I hit 10k that shows a different side of me, rather than just the normal things that I do. I will say, that editing videos is so much more time consuming and frustrating than editing blog posts.
Ever since rebooting my channel, I have gotten a ton of trolling comments, which I’ve talked about here previously, but as you gain more subscribers, you get more of those comments. Not only that, but because of parasocial relationships people eventually have with content creators, a lot of people will feel as though they’re you’re friend and think that they can criticize you to the point where it’s no longer really constructive criticism. I’ll also, never understand what prompts someone to react the way some of these people do. For example, recently I made a commentary/reaction video on a very high ranking MLM rep, and let me just get one thing straight, I have no issue with her personally, it’s the business model and indoctrination that I have an issue with. There is a reason MLM companies are often compared to/called commercial cults. Anyway, she ended up making a response video to it in one of those private groups, and of course sent her team to mob dislike my video (which is engagement for content creators anyway, so thank you so much if you ever read this), and some of her downline commented about how they don’t understand why anyone would make videos like this. Someone else even said sarcastically that I seemed like a solid human. A member of this private Facebook group who is no longer in the MLM, they just so happen to still be in the group told me that this rep went on to say that they didn’t even watch the video, but that I was uneducated, ignorant, and that she probably makes more money in 8 hours than I do in a month.
Rather than counter my argument with facts, these people always have to stoop to personal attacks. They also have to have this holier than thou attitude, and somehow think that making more/less money makes you a better/worse person. I will never understand that, because I’m willing to have a debate, and I would even be willing to have that very rep who called me those things come on my channel and talk about why she is pro MLM. I know I’m just venting at this point, and I almost deserve it for talking about a somewhat controversial topic, and for being on the internet, but it doesn’t make it right. A lot of times I feel like I’m back in high school. We are grown adults, and should be able to agree to disagree at the end of the day not call each other names because we don’t agree. That just reminds me of being on the playground at recess and someone saying they don’t like my bow and think I’m stupid for it lol. Does that make sense?
Anyway, if you are reading this and you are an MLM rep, know that I’m not attacking you, or what you do. I’m attacking the MLM industry as a whole, and the people who create these companies knowing that 99.6% of people either make little to no money, or even lose money. If you are an MLM rep, I’m only here to educate and counter arguments, and it doesn’t mean we can’t be friends. I have a ton of people that I know that are in MLMs, they know how I feel about them, and we just leave it at that. I never pressure them into leaving, and I don’t bring it up in conversation. You are entitled to your opinion, and I will respect yours, if you respect mine.
Let’s move on to the linkup shall we? It’s after the below video.

Monica, congratulations on hitting 5K subscribers! That is so exciting! I also don’t understand the people who leave awful nasty comments. If you don’t like what you have read, either move past it without comment or leave a respectful well thought out comment that illustrates why you disagree. I get a lot of negative and often really nasty comments on my articles about polyamory. The comments sometimes make me laugh though because if you are so opposed to polyamory, why even click on an article about it to read?! Keep doing what you do, my friend!

I agree with Shelbee! I don’t agree with everything bloggers and instagrammers that I follow do or believe in but I either swipe or not leave a comment typically. That does not back them a bad person as a whole, it is just that we have different belief systems or opinions.
