IT’S MY 8 YEAR BLOGIVERSARY!

It’s this blog’s blogiversary!  Jersey Girl, Texan Heart turned 8 years old on Saturday.  I know it’s been quite some time since I’ve uploaded.  That’s due to some medical things happening behind the scenes, but I’ll eventually talk about that here.  It’s just been a rough few months (I cut my hair because it fell out), not to mention the shop has been so busy.  I had so much more time at the CBD Store to work on extra projects like my blog and Youtube.  I even took a 3 week break from Youtube.  However, I did want to celebrate this 8 year blogiversary.

I cannot believe my blog turned 8 on Saturday.  There are so many things I’ve learned, but I wanted to say thank you to all of you who have supported this blog over the years, especially over the past few since I’ve been slacking.  This definitely doesn’t mean I want to stop blogging, it’s just life has been REALLY getting in the way.  I’ll never forget when I first started this blog and the url had a blogspot.com listed after it.  I didn’t even know what a domain was.  I still had supporters no matter how terrible my quality was before I bought my first DSLR and was only taking photos on my old iPhone.  So, thank you for those who have stuck around since then, or if you’re just coming across my blog for the first time.

THE LAST 8 YEARS

Over the last 8 years, I’ve done so much.  Conferences were something I used to go to back in the day and I met so many amazing fellow bloggers turned real life friends.  Most of those people I met no longer blog, but I’m so thankful I was able to meet them.  I’ve learned so much about editing and just putting outfits together, along with writing.  I found that I really had an appreciation for writing, something that I didn’t know I enjoyed doing.  The past two years have been harder with blogging due to us moving, my Youtube channel, and now working at our auto shop along with the medical issues.

WHAT’S TO COME

I’ve started to feel like blogging has died down a bit, especially with how technology has evolved.  I mean, you can even make money on Tiktok now and become famous because of it.  A lot of people just use social media instead of a blog.  That makes me sad because I really love this blog and what I’ve done with it over the years.  I mean I migrated it all by myself and didn’t lose everything haha.  That’s definitely something to be proud of.  I’m hoping that once I get these medical things under control I can come back to blogging more because I truly do miss it.  This little space of mine has been around for 8 years!  That’s just mind blowing to me.
