FLANNEL FOR THE HOLIDAYS
We all need a fun and casual outfit like this flannel for the holidays. When I think of flannels, I think of the holidays and colder days. Thankfully I haven’t seen snow in a very long time which has been nice. I know I’ll eventually have to see it again because I do want Scarlett to experience snow since she’ll grow up in Florida. Anyway, wearing this flannel has been hit or miss because it’s been in between weather. One day it’s in the 70’s, the next it’s in the 50’s.

POSTPARTUM EPILEPSY UPDATE
The other day I realized it was the last day of November which was Epilepsy Awareness Month. I decided to share my blog post that I wrote this year about being a pregnant epileptic. Every year I write about my story and about epilepsy in general. This year, I had a different experience to write about and that was being pregnant. Not to mention experiencing postpartum as an epileptic. I had two people retweet it and a few people read the post so I wanted to write an update in today’s post so I can link it. Well, I went to my neurologist a few weeks ago. All seemed well and he decided to decrease my medication. If you read my epilepsy post I talked about how I started off with 125mg twice a day but by the end of pregnancy I was up to 200mg twice a day. My neurologist doesn’t want to put me all the way down to 125 again so he decided 150mg twice a day is good for now.
I did ask him about a few other things that the pediatrician said while we were at the hospital. To clarify, this was the hospital pediatrician not our pediatrician that we love. Anyway, there were multiple things that pediatrician said that my neurologist said was complete bullshit. With that said, always ask questions and get second opinions. I knew what the pediatrician was saying was bullshit but he made me feel like a shit mom because he was providing me with misinformation. My neurologist was not pleased to say the least. I don’t want to talk about the specifics of what they said about Scarlett (it’s not my medical information to be talking about) but just know it was complete bullshit. It’s sad that I, as someone who didn’t go to medical school, knew the pediatrician was spewing misinformation. Anyway, I will be contacting the hospital and the medical board because the misinformation he was speaking could be very dangerous. Now that I’ve gone off topic, that’s the epilepsy update so far during postpartum.
