I LOOK LIKE A CLOWN, ACCORDING TO MY HUSBAND
Well, according to my husband this two piece makes me look like a clown. When he told me that I looked like a clown I could not stop laughing. I mean, he’s not wrong haha! Although, I will say that I really liked this two piece up until he said that. I’ll still wear it though because it’s super comfy. However, I might just wear the pieces separately so that it’s not so much clown-age comin’ at ya all at once.

BEING TARGETED BY MLM REPS FOR MY POSTPARTUM JOURNEY
Well, it finally happened. MLM reps found my postpartum post on Instagram and either slid into my DM’s or did the typical following and liking of posts. I know this is for them to attempt to “build an authentic relationship.” The sad part is, is that I knew this would happen eventually but I was hoping I was wrong. I talk about this a little bit more in today’s anti MLM video on my youtube channel. There was also a little bit of comedic relief added in there when I made fun of some of my past Beachbody posts.

WE WENT SHOPPING!
Last week was a really rough week for me. There was a lot going on and I had a bit of a mental breakdown. Everything just finally caught up with me and I couldn’t handle it all at once. If you know me in my personal life, you know this is something I have been working on for years, but I have slip ups here and there. Well, last week was a big slip up. My husband helped me out by staying home on Thursday and helping me catch up on a few things. Then he told me that we would go shopping wherever I wanted on Saturday and that it was a day to spoil me.
All I wanted to do was go to this outdoor mall that’s near us that reminds me of a little European city. I didn’t really want to shop, but while we were there we went into a few stores. It was really refreshing to just get out and not have to worry about driving or getting Scarlett in and out of the car all by myself and worrying about her getting fussy in any of the stores. Although she did get a bit fussy, it really wasn’t that bad, but I think having my husband there helped a lot.

I MET ANOTHER POLISH PERSON
If you’re new here, hi I’m Monica and my parents are Polish immigrants. I pretty much grew up in a very Polish household. With that said, I can speak, read, and write it and there are things I still don’t understand because the culture I grew up with was Polish. A good example of something so small but was a big deal for me as a kid was when I had mac and cheese (the powder kind haha) and fruit by the foot for the first time and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I was in probably 3rd grade, maybe 4th grade.
Anyway, all of this is to say that I finally met another Polish person who is close to my age with kids. This was thanks to another friend of ours and this woman speaks Polish and everything. I know this doesn’t seem like a big deal to some, but when you grow up with and around Polish people, it’s kind of a culture shock to have all of that disappear. That happened when we moved to Florida. I’m so excited to finally have someone to hang out with that “gets” me.

STARTING TO PLAN SCARLETT’S FIRST BIRTHDAY
Now that we are getting closer to Scarlett’s first birthday, I’m already planning haha. I know she won’t remember it, and we don’t have too many people here to celebrate with, but I’m going to get a cute cake and some decorations anyway. The theme is going to be Alice in Wonderland themed since that is kind of the theme we’ve been going for, for this first year of her life. I can’t wait to have the cake ordered because Smallcakes does a great job and their cakes are chef’s kiss!

Monica, this two piece set is so freaking adorable! I don’t think you look like a clown at all. Although I do think you could easily style these two pieces into a clown costume if you wanted! Haha. I am so happy that you made a Polish friend! I bet that is is super refreshing to meet someone who gets you and your cultural upbringing. I hope you develop a lasting and meaningful friendship with her! And I am very happy that Joe was able to stay home with you and then spoil you on the weekend. I hated going anywhere in public with my babies. It stressed me out so bad. Plus I already had an underlying anxiety about shopping in stores especially the grocery store. Any chance I got to have someone go with me or keep my kids so I could alone was a great relief. Sending you lots of love, my friend! And I am off to check out your new anti-MLM video!

Thanks for hosting the link-up. And, no – you definitely do not look like a clown (sounds like something my husband would say). Your multi-color outfit is fresh and cute for hot weather, summer wear.
