I’ M BACK
Well, it’s been a hot second since I’ve posted on here. A little over two months to be exact. The break wasn’t planned or even expected so I do apologize for disappearing. This blog turned 10 last month, however my mental health took a nose dive. Instead of writing a blogiversary post, I was struggling a bit. The first month of going MIA was just because I was getting overwhelmed and I wanted to try and focus on some YouTube videos. Unfortunately, the second month of being gone was because of some things that happened in my life that caused my mental health to be affected.
SAYING GOODBYE TO TOXICITY
I won’t get into specific details with what’s affected my mental health but what I will say is I had to cut some toxic people out of my life. People who I thought cared for me and my little family (my daughter, husband, and our fur babies). It was so upsetting to learn certain things with actual evidence of it. I was not only hurt, but also disappointed. I’m still working through my emotions (I’ve been stuck between the anger and I don’t give a fuck stage for a bit), but im so thankful for my husband and daughter for keeping my spirits up.
LILLY
Following all of this, a few weeks ago my brother came to visit unexpectedly and right before he left I thought Lilly (my 13-15 year old puggle, I say 13-15 because she’s a rescue and the shelter didn’t know her age since she was found on the road to die) was dying. I truly thought it was the beginning of the end for Lilly. Thankfully she pulled through. She woke up the next day and was perfectly ok. She was diagnosed with Lyme disease in April so maybe she had a flare up but it was so sad.
MAKE SURE TO FOLLOW ME ON INSTAGRAM
With all of that said, hopefully some of y’all are still here and checking back with me. If you’re not I totally understand because I mean I disappeared for two months. I did continue posting on Instagram so if you’re ever curious as to what I’m doing just follow my Instagram. It’s much easier to post really quickly over there than have to post on here.
MY 100TH PELOTON RIDE
I’m actually bummed because I wanted to write a post about hitting my 100th ride with my Peloton, but I fell so far behind. At the time of writing this I’m already so far past my 100th ride so it’s not worth it at this point. I was so proud of myself for hitting 100 rides. I can’t believe 100 rides has come and gone so quickly. I’ve done five of the 60 minute rides as well and I’m so proud of myself for that.
NO PROMISES
I can’t make any promises as to if I’ll be back again next week because going through everything has been so mentally draining. I’m so thank for my loved ones who have been helping me get through these past two months especially this last month.
Sally in St Paul says
I’m sorry to hear you’ve been struggling, but glad that your immediate family is there to love and support you. Sending good vibes your way.
