Hey everyone! Ok, now don’t get discouraged by the title, we all knew Back to School was coming eventually. We all know that back to school is right around the corner. For all of you ladies and gents in college, trust me I know the struggle. At the same time though, instead of dreading going back to school why don’t you have a little fun with it. Let’s talk about skin care and beauty products. Who doesn’t love some new goodies? You have to make sure you’re prepared with the right skin care and beauty products, which brings me to this post.

Now I know that some of you out there just can’t get into the routine of taking care of your face, but trust me you want to start taking care of it while you’re young. When I was in college I thought oh I’m too young to have a skin care routine washing with soap and water is just fine. The importance of some of the products I’ll be showing you today and my YouTube video that I quickly talk about these awesome products. Keep reading to find out what products are must haves for back to school with Neutrogena and Clean and Clear. Don’t forget to also check out Aveeno while you’re at Target! Let’s start off with the products by Neutrogena.

The Oil Free Moisture for Combination Skin by Neutrogena. This is hands down a must have product. It has a lightweight dual action formula that moisturizes dry areas while controlling the shine in oily areas. This product is also non-comedogenic which basically means it won’t clog your pores. The oil free formula absorbs quickly and that’s how it won’t clog your pores. Clogged pores can cause more breakouts, now if you’re at college you can’t afford breakouts because this is a time to come alive and find yourself, you don’t want to have to worry about breakouts.

So how do you use it? Simple!

Just use 1 pump and apply all over your face and neck. This particular product gets used morning and night, alone or under makeup.

Moving on to the Shine Control Powder by Neutrogena. This stuff is amazing! It’s a flawless finishing powder that blends into all skin tones, instantly eliminating shine for a fresh look that’s never heavy. No one wants caked on makeup! It also absorbs excess oil for shine free coverage with exclusive rice protein complex. The shine control powder lasts for 8 hours. That’s an entire standard work day so no having to touch up those oil spots. It layers invisibly over makeup and it has a matte finish.

To use this lovely powder, you just gently pat the applicator (it’s a little circular pad) in the T-zone to instantly mattify skin. Wear alone or over foundation to help control shine. You’ll definitely need this in college to make sure you have a flawless finish that will boost your confidence especially when you have a presentation in front of the class!

Now moving on to Clean and Clear products!

The Clean and Clear Deep Action Exfoliating Scrub (oil free) is another great one! This one is important to make sure to use it before your oil free moisture by Neutrogena. You want to make sure those pores are clean. This scrub cleanses deep down into pores, working to dissolve dirty, oil and impurities while exfoliating dead skin cells. It provides a tingly, cooling sensation as you gently massage the scrub on skin, the unmistakable revitalizing feeling of deep cleansing action.

In order to use this awesome scrub is you wet your face first. Gently massage it all over your face avoiding the eye area. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. It’s good for daily use.

Last, but definitely not least (if you have a blackhead problem) the Clean and Clear Blackhead Eraser Scrub (oil free). This formula combines the simultaneous actions of self exfoliating multi action cleansing beads to remove trapped dirt and oil with a key acne fighting ingredient; salicylic acid. The unique exfoliating beads work gently to remove trapped dirt, oil, and dead skin cells that can lead to blackheads. Now the product says that you’ll see fewer blackheads in just two days. I will say that my blackheads have diminished and I definitely have a blackhead problem. It’s so embarrassing and not to mention kind of gross looking. You don’t want people starring at your blackhead filled nose instead of listening to what your beautiful mind has to say while in college. Leave those teenage years of acne and blackheads behind you!

With this product you start off by making your face wet. Gently massage all over face for 20-30 seconds, avoiding the eye area. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. They say it’s recommended for daily use.

So how would you put all of these products into one routine? Easy! First you would use the Clean and Clear Deep Action Exfoliating Scrub to make sure your face is nice and clean. Then take an even deeper clean for all of those stubborn blackheads with the Clean and Clear Blackhead Eraser Scrub. Once your face dries make sure to moisturize with the Neutrogena Oil Free Moisture for Combination Skin (they have ones for other skin types as well). This way you know your pores are clean and NOT clogged. Then use the powder either under/over makeup or just on it’s own for a natural look.
