Tomorrow is St. Patrick’s Day! Happy early St. Patrick’s Day. I remember one St. Patty’s Day that really
sticks out in my mind. It was I believe
1995, I was in second grade. All of us
had walked into our classroom and there they were, green foot prints made from
construction paper. We were so convinced
that they were the leprechaun’s! Our
teacher had us looking all over and she had us play games. Then somehow (no idea who started this story)
we were told that behind the playground there was a cave that we could see from
the fence and that the sneaky leprechaun lived there. Well, obviously us being little curious
children we went to that part of the fence and tried to look. We ALL swore we saw something/someone hide
into the cave. We were convinced that we
had almost caught the leprechaun that had been in our classroom earlier that
morning.

Needless to say, we never actually caught the leprechaun but
until I went to the elementary school (the actual building location changes) I
kept looking to see if I would find the leprechaun.

It’s funny how these little memories stick out in my mind,
but I can’t even remember what I ate for breakfast half the time. Sometimes being an adult really ruins
memories. All I remember now is how much
I work and how tired I am when I get home and how excited my little fur child
is when she sees me. There are no
leprechauns, there’s no green construction paper foot prints or anything of
that nature. Pretty much enjoying life
as you would as a child is not socially acceptable at 28, BUT I do it
anyway. I may not remember the memories of
acting like a total ding bat fully like I do remember my childhood memories,
but at least I can make others laugh and in the process relax.

Now, let’s move on to the linkup! Just so that everyone is aware. This post was scheduled prior to me moving so I won’t have any favorites/most clicked this week due to not having internet. Next week I will upload the favorites from last week’s and this week’s linkup!

That's funny that you remember that. I have a similar memory except mine is of the Easter Bunny footprints. They put bunny footprints in the hallway using baby powder. Isn't that a cute idea! Love your necklace!
