Ellen Recap

I saw my blogger bestie last weekend!  Her name is Ellen from Ask Away and we have
actually turned into real life besties as well. 
We went to Hook Seafood in Allentown, PA. 
It was so delicious.  We didn’t
take pictures like we usually do but I did want to tell everyone how the food
was and of course what Ellen got me!  To
start off I got a cocktail which was the Coconut Water Mojito.  It was good but I probably wouldn’t order it
again because it had a little bit of a salty kick afterwards and I don’t know
why but when it comes to drinks I don’t like them salty.  I also ordered the corn and clam
chowder.  Now I’m kind of a chowder snob,
but I must say it was delicious.  I would
definitely get this again.  It was THAT
good.  Following my soup I also got two
raw oysters.  One east coast and one west
coast.  Both were equally delicious, but
this all depends on your taste in oysters. 
Personally I could eat any type of oyster (Louisiana oysters are my
favorite!).  For my main course I got the
seafood linguine.  You guys, the seafood
at this place is so good.  The clams and
the scallops in the linguine were the best. 
There was also shrimp which was really good, but the clams and scallops
were my favorite part.  It was great
catching up with Ellen because it’s been quite some time!  We try and meet up every 3 months, but the
past few months have been busy with both of our lives that the time just
flew.  Anywho, in number 2 for this 5 for
Friday will be what Ellen got me because it was seriously Christmas this
weekend at my house!

Bloggers delivered Christmas early

Ok, so as I said before, Ellen got me a bunch of awesome
things.  The M I still have to put
batteries in, but I think it’s cute even without the bulbs turned on and it
totally goes with the whole style of my room. 
She also got me a bunch of makeup, the mascara is the best!  A jewelry organizer was a must for my room
and my best friend got me a diamond! 
Well not a real diamond, but it looks like one haha.  She did an awesome job with getting me things
I wanted and needed.  I’m so lucky to
have such a great bestie.

My secret Santa for the blogger holiday gift exchange came
in!  I try and do fun things with a group
of bloggers every year, one of which is a gift exchange that’s like a secret
Santa.  An online generator picks names
for each of us and then we just send them to the addresses I provide.  My secret Santa was Sara from SincerelySara.  She really did a great job with
the gifts.  The inner nerd in me was
really jumping for joy.  She got me a
Cosima from Orphan Black Funko Pop, a tardis ring, and of course some nail
polish because we all know I’m kind of nail polish crazy. 

Alex from Glory Boon Blog and Etsy Shop got me a
present.  She wasn’t my secret Santa or
anything she just sent it to me because she thought of me when she saw it.  It’s a bracelet that has the Texas
coordinates on it.  I think it’s pretty
fitting since my blog is called Jersey Girl , Texan Heart.  I seriously have the greatest friends.  I know I don’t see them often, but it was a
really great surprise.  Thank you to all
of you ladies if you’re reading this!

Star Wars

Star Wars came out!  Boyfriend
and I are definitely seeing it because he’s a huge Star Wars nerd.  I’m just a fan of BB8 and R2D2 haha.  I was going to do a Star Wars nail art for
today, but honestly it’s been a busy couple of days with all of the Christmas things
going on here on the blog and with personal things.  It’s been one heck of a few months.  I honestly cannot wait to just relax.  Anyway, I’m thinking of doing a Star Wars
nail art design in a few weeks so stay tuned!

Christmas

Can you believe it? 
Christmas is next week!  That’s
crazyness!  I have most of my gifts
already taken care of I’m just waiting for a few to show up, hopefully before
Christmas because I ordered them a long time ago.  I can’t wait to spend time with the family
and give them all of their gifts.  I
really love giving gifts, I’m actually really bad at keeping surprises a
surprise.  My mom already knows what one
of her presents is.  It’s kind of bad
actually haha.  I almost told boyfriend
what I got him about 10 times.  But that’s
ok, I only have to wait a week to give them their gifts!  Well less than a week because we open gifts
on Christmas Eve.  That’s the Polish
tradition.

High School Reunion

I’m really showing my age, but my 10 year High School
Reunion is next weekend.  I honestly
think back and it’s almost like I was graduating just yesterday.  10 years flew by.  Then I think about what I’ve done in the past
10 years and I honestly forgot about most of this because I go through my daily
life not paying attention really.  I know
that sounds terrible but lately it’s been so busy for me that I haven’t really
stopped to smell the roses so to speak. 
I’m not going to lie, I wasn’t going to go originally but then my mom
and boyfriend said I should.  My
reasoning was we are all friends on Facebook anyway so we already know what the
other one is doing and how life is.  I wasn’t really the cool kid or a popular girl.  I was the one they liked to pick on since the
day we moved up to where I live.  So with
that being said I’m going to walk in there with the boyfriend and have a good
time.  Plus, I think we need a little
mini date night, even if it is a function of some sort haha.
