Birthday
If you follow me on Instagram (@jerseygirltexanheart) you already saw a little
collage of my birthday from my coworkers.
They went all out on my birthday.
I know I’ve posted about my birthday before from my coworkers but this
time was pretty sweet. I mean did you
see the size of the minion stuffed animal?
I also wrote a nice birthday post on Monday for 28 things I’m thankful
for. I hope y’all get a chance to read
it! I was pretty happy with my
birthday. I got a lot of love and thank
you to all of you who commented on my post with birthday wishes!

Update on Accident
Ok, so I know I’ve been giving lots of updates on this but
holy cow it has been hectic lately with this accident business. I’m assuming this is when everything gets
complicated. On Thursday of last week I
got a call that my car was ready to be picked up so of course early Friday
morning I dropped off the rental and had the boyfriend drive me to pick up my
car. She looked beautiful, it’s like I
fell in love with her all over again. I
probably looked like a crazy person with the excitement. Anyone who is in my area there’s a shop
called Pana’s in Oak Ridge, NJ they do incredible work and I highly recommend
them! Well, my excitement was short
lived Friday afternoon after lunch. I
drove during lunch with the top down and when I came back to work the top
wouldn’t close properly. I was so upset
because I thought oh no, what if they can’t fix it. This was what EVERYONE was dreading when I
first got into my accident because I was rear ended and it’s a hard top
convertible which if anyone knows a thing or two about cars, these things are temperamental
to say the least. This was not the shop’s
fault at all, it’s just how the convertible tops are. I had to go back to the shop Friday afternoon
and leave my poor car over the weekend.
Monday afternoon (my birthday) I was able to pick her up and everything
worked just fine. I was the happiest I
could possibly be. So for now Coco is
back in my life and I’m so super excited.
Now moving on to my health. On
Tuesday I went to the doctor again and found out some not so fun news. I have to go to physical therapy for my
back. I’m still having trouble with
it. I can’t sit or stand for too long, I
can’t sleep at night because as soon as I get comfortable my back starts
hurting and I have to move which takes time.
Unfortunately I’m still afraid to be at a red light or stop sign but I’ve
been attempting to feel better about this.
I even get nervous when I see a car approaching in my rear view when I’m
in traffic or just driving regularly. I’m
hoping this will go away eventually, I mean it’s been almost a month and it
really aggravates me because I’ve tried so many times to just tell my brain it’s
ok and I still get nervous. I also get
nervous when I’m in a car with other people, yes, I’ve unfortunately turned
into the “back seat driver.” Thankfully
everyone is understanding and knows I’m just extra cautious now.

Next week’s posts start my two week long celebration for the
Halloween holiday approaching at the end of this month. I love Halloween and I figured one of my
favorite holidays deserves some special attention here on the blog.

New Phone
Well, this girl got a new phone! Finally.
I was due for an upgrade almost a year ago. I didn’t want to get rid of my phone because
there was nothing wrong with it, besides the fact that the iPhone 5 is
considered ancient to some techy’s out there.
I had no problem until I dropped it a few inches off the ground and the
screen shattered. After almost 3 years
of having the phone I just now shattered the screen. Then two days later the home button popped
out so my mom said that it’s a sign that someone is telling me I need a new
phone haha. I went to Verizon and at the
time wasn’t decided with staying with iOS or switching back to Android. When I saw the iPhone 6s plus in rose gold I
couldn’t resist. It just looked so
pretty. Thankfully the phone was free
and my monthly bill only went up a few doll hairs. The greatest part is it wasn’t supposed to
ship until the end of this month, but it shipped on my birthday, thanks Verizon

I don’t know what has been wrong with me but for the past
few weeks I don’t have any #5’s for 5 for Friday. It kind of defeats the whole purpose but I
think it’s because since the accident I’ve been kind of all over the
place. Sorry y’all, I only have 4 things

Happy Belated Birthday!! Glad your car is all better and that all you need is PT. I was rear ended 12 years ago and while I'm not paranoid or scared of driving, I still look in my rear view more than most when I stop, especially if it is sudden. I hope you have a great weekend!
