Marilyn 2 Night Series
I’m so excited because tomorrow and Sunday is a Marilyn
Monroe 2 night series on I forget if it’s Lifetime or LMN, I mean they’re
pretty much the same channel anyway.  For
those of you who don’t know me on a personal level which is probably about 99%
of you, Marilyn Monroe is my favorite actress/celebrity of all time.  I love the classics and I love any black and
white movie, their acting was just so dramatic back then.  I started liking Marilyn Monroe a very long
time ago, probably about 10+ years.  I
just found her so fascinating.  I’ve seen
every movie and documentary and have probably read enough articles about this
woman to write my own biography.
Needless to say I’m very excited and judging by the previews they are
laying everything out on the table including her early life which includes her
mother, and the times that she spent being institutionalized.

MDW Phone Pictures Recap
You might have already seen two of these pictures on
Instagram, the other two never made the cut.
I either forgot or didn’t have enough WiFi to add them.  It was a very nice relaxing weekend.  Can you tell I like really bright colors like
pink?  I kind of feel like it was pink
overload this weekend, but I’m totally ok with that!

Prom

No, I’m not going to prom.  It’s been 10 years since I went to my senior prom.  Crazy how time flies.  Today is boyfriend’s little sister’s prom.  I am fortunate enough to be taking pictures!  I love what her idea is for her dress and shoes.  She’s wearing a really beautiful and flowy dress with her cowgirl boots.  It’s very her and it’s definitely her personality which is an at times girly tom boy.  Does that make sense?

Getting Serious about the Remodel
Ok, so if some of you have been following this lovely corner
of cyber space you would know that last year I bought some new pieces of
furniture for the room remodel.  Well,
that never happened.  I was way too busy
and once I went to Poland I was down two weeks plus another week with
scheduling all my posts that it just kind of slipped through the cracks.  Needless to say, this year I’m going to try
and get serious about it.  I’ve already
started cleaning a little bit and packing stuff up for storage.  I’ve been looking at some pieces and I’ve
even gone paint shopping.  I’m going for
a rustic vibe.  I know last year I wanted
shabby chic but I feel as though a rustic look would go better with my
personality and the overall feel of the room.
Elite Daily Makeup Article

I read the absolute best Elite Daily article the other
day.  It was in response to an article that
even had me outraged.  The original
article was titled “Reasons why you should date a girl who doesn’t wear makeup.”  Ok, now it seems a little ridiculous because
I shouldn’t have gotten as annoyed but after the article had popped up on my
news feed more than once with people sharing it and agreeing with the article I
wrote a response to the article.  I
pretty much said how the article is wrong in saying that girls who wear makeup
are less confident than those who have bare faces.  They also wrote how girls who wear makeup are
high maintenance.  First of all I can be
as high maintenance as I want because I pay my own bills even though I’m not in
the slightest bit and I’m not any less confident than a female with a blank
canvas.  Of course I have insecurities
but they are the same whether I have makeup on or not.  Of course I’ve left the house with no makeup
and I don’t spend a lot of time doing my makeup unless I’m going to an event or
I’m taking blogging pictures.  The
response article that you know damn well I shared was written so well.  The author pretty much said how society
shouldn’t tell a woman whether to wear makeup or not.  It’s not about needing to wear makeup it’s
about it being a personal choice.  People
have this misconception that women who wear makeup do so because they NEED
to.  You are entirely wrong because I
wear makeup for myself.  My boyfriend
tells me all the time that I don’t need to wear makeup but I wear it for my own
personal self.  To me wearing makeup is
an accessory just like a bag or jewelry, it doesn’t mean that people won’t ever
see me without makeup because I freak out if I don’t have it.  I think this article really hit some
extremely good points and I just had to write about it here on le blog.
