Jacket: Old // Dress: Von Vonni
For today’s post I have a few fun things. First of all the trend spin link up topic (I guess that’s what you can call it) is pastels. Now, I know that maxi’s are usually meant for summer BUT I loved this print and immediately thought it would go perfectly with my white faux fur coat, I think that counts as a pastel? I don’t really have many of my pastels out in my closet yet, it’s mostly all of my winter clothes! I was also asked to review this item by Ivon L.A.. I actually received a lot of stuff from them (stay tuned because there’s a lot of great pieces I’ll be showing on the blog). This dress in particular is called a transformer dress. My nerd self kicked in when I read the transformer part, how can you not think of Optimus, Bumblebee, Ironhide, and more haha. Anyway there are so many ways to wear this dress it’s insane! I added the YouTube video at the bottom of this post so all of you can see all of the different ways.
I love anything that can be worn multiple ways. I usually shop for something that is versatile. I also love finding pieces that can be worn as transition pieces, so pretty much something I can wear for more than one season. If I buy something that is either super trendy or only good for one of the four seasons we get here in NJ I usually can’t buy it if it’s over a certain dollar amount. Not sure why, but I just can’t bring myself to pay a lot for a piece that I’ll only wear a handful of times.
I just need to say that I am absolutely in love with this dress. It flatters EVERYTHING, from a small waist to a bigger bust. It truly accentuates in all the right places. There are so many different colors and prints that are just perfect. Anyway, check out the video below if you need any more convincing to get this dress!
