I decided to bring her back for round two of Who Wore It Better for my birthday
week! Well, actually, this time around
it’s not really a who wore it better post.
For today’s post we wanted to share that fashion is for every age. It doesn’t matter how old or young you are,
fashion is for everyone. In my opinion
fashion is an art. How can you judge
art, when art is extremely opinionated? My
mom never followed the “rules” of fashion, and never will. She pushes the limits and wears things that
people have said you shouldn’t wear after a certain age. Why does she have to sacrifice feeling
confident in her clothing to wear “old lady” appropriate attire? Why should any woman for that matter? I’m sure some people would say that these
pants shouldn’t be worn after a certain age, but if my mom looks good and feels
good why should her age matter? I think
it also helps that she doesn’t look her age too, but I think that has to do
with the confidence that she has while wearing certain outfits. My mom would obviously never leave the house
wearing a leopard print velour track suit (I actually don’t think I would
either lol), but she has no problem wearing something like OTK boots.
shouldn’t wear after 25.” While I was
reading it (I was 27 at the time lol) I was thinking, wow so I guess I’m
considered old now since the author kept referring to anyone over 25 as old
haha. One of the many items on the list
was a pair of stilettos. Um, what? Was this author born yesterday? Do you not see how many women wear stilettos
until their very last days? I mean I
personally don’t wear them because I actually get pain in my knee and feet
after too long, but the women who can wear them for hours and feel dang good in
them, why take that confidence away from them?
Have you ever seen a woman walk in flats and then once she puts on her
heels (sky high or kitten, whatever tickles your fancy) she struts her stuff
like a super model on the runway? Ladies,
if you feel confident and comfortable, then wear what you think suits you, your
body, and your age.
women my mom’s age might not wear because they feel it’s too “young” for
them. Why though? I think it’s perfect! It’s classy, yet edgy. This is also the perfect fall outfit, even
though the weather here in NJ has been really strange. It’s actually been really hot. This is the easiest sweater/poncho to
wear! It’s a great addition to an
outfit! The pants are also great! Believe it or not they are 97% Cotton (and 3%
Polyester).
sport and coming back on the blog, she looks gorgeous, but I may also have a
bias opinion. Below is the link up AND a
giveaway since it’s my birthday tomorrow and I want to celebrate!

Just as a disclaimer, ALL entries will be verified and you will be disqualified if you are not following on all social media that is listed in the giveaway. This is so fun that you're doing this with you mama! I so agree, I don't think there is an age limit on items. I've seen a 60 year old rock it in high heels and short skirts. I mean really to each their own right? You both look amazing in this outfit!

Amen about style at every age! When I worked retail I would often get questions from women asking if a piece looked too young for them. But I could usually tell they liked it, and I always told them no. Sometimes I would mention one reason why it really looked good on them, just to help them move past the stigma. And this is such a classic look that looks great on both of you!

I love this fun outfit on you both! I am a fan of coated denim and am looking for an olive pair. The faux leather detail on your top is cool too, and of course i love the boots!

I have the same relationship with my mom. We often talk about clothes and play stylist for each other. I honestly think that you both wore it well, you just both put your own personal twist to it.

Well I'd have to say you both rocked it!!! How fun to do this with your mom!!
