So for today’s post I wanted to show different ways to wear one buffalo plaid tunic since today’s Trend Spin Linkup is all about buffalo plaid. I’ve had this tunic for quite some time. I used to work at H&M during college and this tunic was calling my name. Obviously it was meant to be since I’ve had it for 5 years! I love wearing it with either casually or a little more dressed up. It’s perfect because it’s so simple and I’m not going lie, I think it’s a good staple to have in your closet.
The first outfit I decided to mix prints. I took a houndstooth poncho and buffalo plaid, added a hat and faux leather leggings, and voila, I’m ready for lunch or dinner with some friends. I don’t often mix prints but I love it! I feel like when it comes to mixing prints and patterns you really have to own it. You really have to channel your inner Beyonce to make it fierce. If you don’t feel confident or you feel awkward with mixing prints it’ll be noticeable and it just won’t work. Just always remember to OWN THAT LOOK! As soon as you own it, you’ll look smashing dahhhling!
For the second outfit I decided to make it a little more casual by adding a puffer vest. I feel like you can add a puffer vest to almost anything and it’ll look great. I chose this yellow one because I wanted to break up all of the black. I also changed into high boots because I feel as though heels make any outfit a little more dressed up.
The last outfit is the most casual of them all. It’s just a tunic, leggings, belt, and boots. I love belting anything because my waist is small for my body size, so it gives an illusion that everything else is smaller too!
Also, I have a thing for trains. I’m not sure what it is, but railroad tracks and railcars especially if they’re old are some of my favorites. I love that this particular car was called Erie, I mean how cool?
Now, if you didn’t read my post from yesterday (here) I have a giveaway going on right now and a 20% off coupon code in my Etsy Shop for my 1 Year Anniversary!!
