1. Boston
I’m going to Boston tomorrow! Please everyone cross your fingers for me so
that it doesn’t snow. I need to get my
brother home for the holidays and I need to make sure I can make it into work
on Monday. Oh and let’s not forget the
whole driving safely part too. I can’t
wait to make it to Boston. It’s going to
be so much fun. I wish I could’ve
started my mini vacation today, but unfortunately I don’t have enough vacation
days at work, womp. I’m excited to see
my brother and our little fur ball Kuba because I haven’t seen him in a few
months. Plus, it’s Boston, one of the
prettiest cities in my opinion.

2. Lens Traveling Mug
I’m sure you’ve seen me blast this all over my blog and my
social media accounts BUT for those of you who haven’t seen this yet, HOW COOL
IS THIS LENS TRAVELING MUG?! My blogger
bestie got it for me, and I’ve been using it every day since.

3. Christmas Countdown
The holidays will be over soon (craziness!). Christmas is less than a week away and I
STILL haven’t gotten all of my gifts. My
mom already knows what 90% of her gifts are, we stink at keeping
secrets/surprises from each other. I
love Christmas for the food and spending time with my family but at the same
time I can’t wait for it to be over. I
can’t stand the lines and traffic at the mall and actually I like to avoid
stores at all costs during this season.
It’s almost as if people forget what Christmas is really about. It’s about love and Christmas miracles and
spending time with your awesomely crazy family.
If you are in my household you’ll be watching Hallmark Christmas movies
since they started showing them on Halloween, you’re lucky I love you
mommy. Instead they go crazy at the
malls/stores and yell at the cashiers as if it’s their fault that they have to
follow policy and once a manager gets involved (we all know the “I need to
speak to a manager” phrase) all rules and policies are thrown out the
window. If you couldn’t tell I’ve worked
in retail before (I’m an almost 10 year retired veteran of retail). This is one of the reasons why the holiday
season will probably be ruined for me until I have my own family. With Christmas only a few days away I ask all
of you to please remember those cashiers make minimum wage, the managers don’t
make that much more, they work crazy hours and if you work a back to back shift
that can mean you’re working from 7am-2am (if not earlier or later) with minor breaks in between (I don’t
even think this is legal to be honest), let’s not forget they deal with people fighting
and throwing stuff all over the store, and they have to deal with customers
yelling at them because they can’t give them more than 10% off on a damaged
item. Some of these employees are also
students whether it be high school or college (hello, finals week is going on
too). Remember these people have
families and lives too so if you’re shopping on Christmas Eve and it’s 5
minutes to closing, either leave the store or don’t leave a mess. Also employees of retail, I know it’s tough,
but try and keep a positive attitude because you get what you give. If you’re going to be rude to customers they
will be rude right back. Approach people
with a smile on your face. Trust me it
can make ALL the difference if a customer is approached by a nice employee
because they expect you to have an attitude.
Just think, holiday hours will be over soon!

4. Saw my bestie
I saw Ellen this past weekend! Yippee!
You can read all about that here.
I’m not going to bore you with the same details I posted the other
day. One thing I can say is that we’ve
already arranged our next meet up and it’s our first sleepover! So stay tuned to read about our blogger
adventure!

You see the picture on the right? There’s this one emoji (pictured below) that I overuse and I decided to reenact it!
5. Cut bangs
My mom keeps telling me not to talk about this because it’s
not a big deal to most people, but to me it is.
I chopped my bangs this past weekend and I’m not sure how I feel about
them yet. I did it because thanks to my
new hair color and the henna in my hair, some highlights turned out an orangey
color and my hair was just insanely damaged.
So, mom took the scissors and snipped away. I’m not 100% of a fan yet, but maybe they’ll
grow on me? Does anyone have any
recommendations on hairstyles with these bangs?
I have a few ideas but maybe y’all have some ideas I didn’t think of.

I really like your bangs. I've been toying with the idea of doing that to my hair but I haven't had bangs since I was probably under the age of 10 so I'm really nervous. I hope you have a great weekend!

I am in LOVE with that mug of yours! I would rock that thing everyday too if I had one! Good luck on your trip to Boston! I hope your brother gets there safely and you get back in time for work dear! 🙂

Heading over from Friday Favorites linkup! Ok, I have that travel mug, and it's my fave! My dad found it when I was in school for photojournalism, and it's my go-to every time still. Plus, it's kind of hilarious when people actually think you're just carrying a camera lens around randomly.
Have a great weekend 🙂
