Checkered

I made a friend during my photo shoot!

Vest:  Mom’s closet {old} // Tunic:  Ralph Lauren // Boots:  Boots:  Dolce Vita (similar here)

Can you believe that Christmas is next week?  This month has flown by so quickly.  I feel like my birthday was just yesterday,
and here we are two months later.  Since
we are narrowing down I wanted to introduce my go to outfit, especially for
shopping during this busy season.  Now,
you will rarely ever see me leave the house and go to one of our local malls (I
live in Jersey there’s A LOT of malls-stereotype is true on this), BUT when I
do go this is one of my go to outfits.
Taking a longer checkered/flannel top (or a regular top) with leggings,
over the knee boots, and a vest is perfect for shopping.  Let’s face it, it gets hot.  That huge bulky jacket that keeps you warm
from your car to the doors will only annoy you within minutes of walking into
the mall.  You get hot, sweaty, you feel
bulky, and you just end up feeling unpleasant, or at least I do.  Where are you supposed to put said bulky
jacket for the Eskimos when you’re shopping?
So that’s why I choose to go with vests.
I choose ¾ length tops so most of my arms are warm when walking into the
mall and the vest is perfect because it keeps me warm from my mile walk in the
parking lot and if I have to take it off and hold it, it’s not as annoying as a
jacket.  Bulky jackets while shopping can
go step on some legos for all I care.
Can you hear my annoyance (that’s extremely close to
sounding like the Grinch) to bulky jackets?
The worst part is I just learned my lesson last year.
I have been living in these boots if you couldn’t tell by my
last 134323 outfit posts.  They’re so
comfortable, and chic.  Best part (drum
roll please) they’re flat.  Sometimes a
tall girl needs a really cute pair of flat boots or shoes in general.  I’m 5’9 so as much as I love wearing heels,
sometimes I like to take a break from towering over people and feel like a
somewhat normal sized person.

What’s your go to outfit while shopping in these crazy
hectic 90 degree malls?

I am dying that you found that vest in your mom's closet. I would never be so lucky to find anything so cool in my mom's wardrobe! LOL. I also really love lumberjack plaid! This outfit is so cute.
